Prominent Sri Lankan Coir Producing Companies Shine at Saudi Agriculture Expo -2025

Sri Lanka’s prominent eco-friendly coir producing companies namely Hayleys Fibre PLC and RIOCOCO showcase their products at the 42nd edition of the Saudi Agriculture Expo 2025, currently taking place in Riyadh from 20th to 23rd October 2025 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ameer Ajwad officially inaugurated the Sri Lankan booths of Hayleys Fibre PLC and RIOCOCO at the Exhibition Centre in Riyadh. 

Addressing the participants, Ambassador Ameer Ajwad highlighted that the participation of Sri Lankan companies at the leading international trade fairs such as Saudi Agriculture Expo enables companies to explore the dynamic Saudi market, identify emerging business opportunities, and establish direct connections with the Kingdom’s mega and giga projects. He further noted that Sri Lankan coir products are increasingly being utilized in Saudi Arabia’s large-scale developments, particularly for landscaping and environmental management, due to their sustainability and versatility. 

The Saudi Agriculture Expo is recognized as the largest and the most influential multi-sectoral B2B event in the region’s agriculture industry. For over 39 years, it has served as a premier business development platform, bringing together farm owners, local and international business leaders, and investors to advance agricultural innovation and collaboration.

The four-day exhibition held under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture of Saudi Arabia, features nearly 450 companies and organizations from 34 countries, including 11 national pavilions, showcasing the latest technologies and innovations in plant, animal, and fish production including Farming, Poultry, Agro & Organic Food, Food Processing & Packaging, Aquaculture, Livestock and Dairy, Greenhouses, Veterinary, and Entrepreneurship.

First Secretary of Commerce of the Sri Lanka Embassy in Riyadh Tashma Vithanawasam, CEO/President of RIOCOCO Mr. Shan Halamba, and Senior Manager of Sales and Marketing of Hayleys Fibre PLC Mr. Asiri Silva participated during the occasion.
