இனவாத சக்திகளுக்கும், மதவாதத்திற்கும், ஊழல் மற்றும் மோசடிகளுக்கும் எதிராக அரசாங்கம் மேற்கொண்டு வரும் நடவடிக்கைகளுக்கு அனைவரும் முழுமையான ஆதரவை வழங்க வேண்டும்.

இனவாத சக்திகளுக்கும், மதவாதத்திற்கும், ஊழல் மற்றும் மோசடிகளுக்கும் எதிராக அரசாங்கம் மேற்கொண்டு வரும் நடவடிக்கைகளுக்கு அனைவரும் முழுமையான ஆதரவை வழங்க வேண்டும்.

எமது நாடு ஆசியாவில் பரப்பளவில் சிறிய நாடாக இருந்தாலும், இயற்கை வளங்கள், மனித வளங்கள், கடல்சார் வளங்கள், விவசாய வளங்கள் மற்றும் அறிவுசார் திறன்கள் என எண்ணற்ற வளங்களைக் கொண்ட ஒரு ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்ட நாடாகும். 

ஆனால், கடந்த பல தசாப்தங்களாக நிலவிய தவறான நிர்வாகம், ஊழல், மோசடிகள் மற்றும் பொது வளங்களின் துஷ்பிரயோகம் காரணமாக, இந்த வளங்கள் நாட்டின் அனைத்து மக்களுக்கும் சமமாக சென்றடையவில்லை. அதன் விளைவாக, பொருளாதார நெருக்கடி, வேலையின்மை, வறுமை, சமூக ஏற்றத்தாழ்வு போன்ற பல்வேறு சவால்களை நாடு எதிர்கொண்டது.

இந்நிலையில், மக்களின் ஜனநாயக ஆணையைப் பெற்று ஆட்சிப் பொறுப்பேற்றுள்ள தற்போதைய அரசாங்கம் இரண்டு முக்கிய துறைகளுக்கு முன்னுரிமை வழங்கி செயற்பட்டு வருகிறது. முதலாவது, இனவாதம் மற்றும் மதவாத அரசியலை ஒழித்து தேசிய ஒற்றுமையை வலுப்படுத்துவது. இரண்டாவது, ஊழல் மற்றும் மோசடிகளில் ஈடுபட்டவர்களை சட்டத்தின் முன் நிறுத்தி, நீதியை நிலைநாட்டுவது.

இந்த இரண்டு துறைகளிலும் அரசாங்கம் உறுதியான நடவடிக்கைகளை மேற்கொண்டு வருவதை நாம் காண்கிறோம். இந்த முயற்சிகள் வெற்றியடையும்போது, எதிர்காலத்தில் அரசியல் என்பது தனிப்பட்ட செல்வத்தைப் பெருக்கும் கருவியாக அல்லாமல், மக்களுக்கு நேர்மையாக சேவை செய்யும் பொறுப்பாக மாறும். இது நல்லாட்சியை வலுப்படுத்தும் ஒரு வரலாற்றுச் சிறப்புமிக்க மாற்றமாக அமையும்.

பொருளாதார ரீதியாக, ஊழல் குறைக்கப்படும்போது அரசின் வருவாய் வீணாகாமல் மக்களின் நலனுக்காக பயன்படுத்தப்படும். சாலைகள், பாடசாலைகள், மருத்துவமனைகள், தொழில்நுட்ப வசதிகள், விவசாயம், மீன்பிடி, சுற்றுலா மற்றும் தொழில்துறை போன்ற துறைகளில் அதிக முதலீடுகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்படும். 

உள்நாட்டு மற்றும் வெளிநாட்டு முதலீட்டாளர்கள் நாட்டின் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு முதலீடு செய்ய முன்வருவார்கள். அதன் மூலம் புதிய தொழிற்சாலைகள் உருவாகும், வேலைவாய்ப்புகள் அதிகரிக்கும், இளைஞர்களுக்கான வாய்ப்புகள் விரிவடையும், அந்நியச் செலாவணி வருவாய் உயரும் மற்றும் நாட்டின் பொருளாதாரம் வலுவடையும்.

சமூக ரீதியாக, இன, மத, மொழி வேறுபாடுகளைத் தாண்டி அனைவரும் ஒன்றுபட்டு வாழும் சூழல் உருவாகும். மக்கள் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் நம்பிக்கையுடன் அணுகுவார்கள். சமூக அமைதி, சட்ட ஒழுங்கு மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பு வலுப்பெறும். கல்வி, சுகாதாரம் மற்றும் சமூக நலத் திட்டங்கள் அனைத்து மக்களையும் சமமாகச் சென்றடையும். இதன் மூலம் சமத்துவம் மற்றும் சமூக நீதி மேலும் உறுதிப்படுத்தப்படும்.

கலாசார ரீதியாக, இலங்கையின் பன்முக கலாசார மரபுகள் பாதுகாக்கப்படும். சிங்கள, தமிழ், முஸ்லிம், பர்கர் மற்றும் ஏனைய அனைத்து சமூகங்களும் தங்களது மொழி, மதம், கலை, பண்பாடு மற்றும் பாரம்பரியங்களை பரஸ்பர மரியாதையுடன் பேணும் சூழல் உருவாகும். கலாசார ஒற்றுமை வலுப்பெறும்போது, தேசிய நல்லிணக்கம் நிலைபெறும். இது சுற்றுலாத் துறையின் வளர்ச்சிக்கும் சர்வதேச அரங்கில் இலங்கையின் நற்பெயர் உயர்வதற்கும் வழிவகுக்கும்.

நாட்டின் முன்னேற்றம் என்பது அரசாங்கத்தின் பொறுப்பு மட்டுமல்ல. அது ஒவ்வொரு குடிமகனின் பொறுப்புமாகும். அரசியல், இனம், மதம், மொழி போன்ற வேறுபாடுகளை ஒதுக்கிவைத்து, நாட்டின் எதிர்கால நலனுக்காக அனைவரும் ஒன்றிணைந்து செயற்பட வேண்டும். 

சட்டத்தை மதிப்பதும், ஊழலை நிராகரிப்பதும், பொது சொத்துக்களைப் பாதுகாப்பதும், நேர்மையுடனும் பொறுப்புடனும் தமது கடமைகளை நிறைவேற்றுவதும் ஒவ்வொரு குடிமகனின் தேசியப் பொறுப்பாகும்.

ஒரு நாட்டின் உண்மையான செல்வம் அதன் இயற்கை வளங்கள் மட்டுமல்ல; அதன் மக்களின் ஒற்றுமை, நேர்மை, உழைப்பு மற்றும் பரஸ்பர நம்பிக்கையுமாகும். இந்த நான்கு அம்சங்களும் வலுப்பெற்றால், இலங்கை பொருளாதார வளம், சமூக நல்லிணக்கம், கலாசார பெருமை மற்றும் நிலையான அபிவிருத்தி ஆகிய அனைத்தையும் ஒருங்கிணைத்த முன்னேறிய நாடாக உருவெடுக்கும்.

எனவே, அரசியல் கருத்து வேறுபாடுகள் எதுவாக இருந்தாலும், இனவாதத்தையும் மதவாதத்தையும் நிராகரித்து, ஊழல் மற்றும் மோசடிகளை ஒழிக்கும் அரசாங்கத்தின் முயற்சிகளுக்கு நாம் அனைவரும் முழுமையான ஆதரவை வழங்க வேண்டும். 

இது ஒரு அரசாங்கத்தின் வெற்றி மட்டுமல்ல; முழு நாட்டின் வெற்றியாகவும், எதிர்கால தலைமுறைகளுக்கான வளமான இலங்கையை உருவாக்கும் அடித்தளமாகவும் அமையும்.

Everyone should extend their full support to the Government’s efforts to eradicate racism, religious extremism, corruption, and fraud.

Although our country is geographically one of the smaller nations in Asia, it is richly blessed with abundant natural resources, human capital, marine resources, agricultural potential, and intellectual capabilities. Sri Lanka possesses many of the resources that other nations aspire to have. With good governance and national unity, our country has the potential to become one of the leading nations in Asia.

However, due to decades of poor governance, corruption, fraud, abuse of power, and the misuse of public resources, the benefits of these national assets have not been distributed equitably among all citizens. As a result, the country has faced numerous challenges, including economic crises, a rising cost of living, unemployment, poverty, social inequality, and a decline in public confidence in political institutions.

In this context, the present Government, having assumed office with the democratic mandate of the people, has prioritized two key national objectives. The first is to eliminate racial and religious divisive politics while strengthening national unity and reconciliation. The second is to ensure that those involved in corruption and fraud are brought before the law, justice is upheld, and public funds are managed with transparency and accountability.

We are witnessing the Government taking firm and decisive action in both of these areas. If these efforts are successful, politics will no longer be viewed as a means of accumulating personal wealth but rather as a noble responsibility to serve the people with honesty, integrity, and transparency. Such a transformation will strengthen good governance and establish a responsible political culture for future generations.

From an economic perspective, reducing corruption will ensure that government revenue is protected and utilized efficiently for the benefit of the people. Greater investments can then be made in roads, bridges, schools, universities, hospitals, clean water projects, technology, agriculture, fisheries, tourism, industry, and renewable energy. This will increase the confidence of both local and foreign investors, leading to the establishment of new industries, the creation of more employment opportunities, expanded prospects for young entrepreneurs, increased exports and foreign exchange earnings, stronger small and medium-sized enterprises, and a more resilient and sustainable national economy.

From a social perspective, people of all ethnicities, religions, and languages will be able to live together in equality, mutual respect, and harmony. Social peace, the rule of law, and public security will be further strengthened. Education, healthcare, social welfare programmes, and essential public services will become more accessible to all citizens. Opportunities for women, youth, persons with disabilities, and disadvantaged communities will continue to improve. As public trust in state institutions grows, democracy itself will become stronger.

From a cultural perspective, Sri Lanka’s rich multicultural heritage will be preserved and further enriched. The Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims, Burghers, and all other communities will be able to protect and celebrate their languages, religions, arts, cultures, and traditions while respecting one another’s diversity. Increased cultural exchange and mutual understanding will strengthen national reconciliation, promote social cohesion, encourage tourism, and enhance Sri Lanka’s international reputation as a peaceful and culturally diverse nation.

The progress of a nation is not the responsibility of the Government alone; it is the shared responsibility of every citizen. Regardless of political beliefs, ethnicity, religion, or language, we must unite for the future prosperity of our country. Respecting the rule of law, rejecting corruption, protecting public property, fulfilling our responsibilities with honesty and integrity, paying taxes responsibly, safeguarding the environment, and contributing positively to society are all national duties that every citizen should uphold.

The true wealth of a nation lies not only in its natural resources but also in the unity, honesty, hard work, discipline, and mutual trust of its people. When these values are strengthened, Sri Lanka can emerge as a prosperous, peaceful, and developed nation that successfully combines economic growth, social harmony, cultural richness, environmental sustainability, and democratic governance.

Therefore, regardless of political differences, we must reject racism and religious extremism and extend our full support to the Government’s efforts to eradicate corruption and fraud. This is not merely a victory for any one Government; it is a victory for the entire nation. It will lay the foundation for a stronger, more prosperous, more just, and more united Sri Lanka for both present and future generations.
